FORMER soccer star Frank McAvennie will give a talk about his colourful life to raise money for charity.
The former Celtic and West Ham star of the 1980s, who now lives on Tyneside, will give a "no-holds barred account'' of his career at Sunderland restaurant 11 Tavistock Place.
He will be speaking at a sportsmen's dinner being held in aid of the North-East branch of children's charity Make A Wish, on Monday, September 3.
The charity makes dreams come true for youngsters with life-threatening illnesses.
The evening includes a three-course dinner, raffle and auction.
