YOBS who abandoned three dogs by throwing them out of a car window have been branded a disgrace.
The dogs were dumped at a caravan park by their owners who then drove away.
They were then rescued by a concerned holiday maker at the Crimdon Dene caravan park, in Easington, County Durham, and are now seeking a new home.
The three Jack Russell cross dogs - two bitches and one male - were said to be hungry and riddled with worms, but have now been treated and given the all clear by vets.
Tracy Dack, who found the black and tan coloured dogs, had been with her family at the park on Saturday morning when the incident happened.
She said: "I think these people are a disgrace - there are lots of places people can go if they cannot cope with their animals.
"They do not have to take them to campsites and dump them.
"I watched these dogs wandering around and thought I cannot just leave them for the council to destroy them."
The three dogs have been given names, Foxy, Barney and Sammy, and are currently being cared for by Ms Dack at her home in Spennymoor.
Inspector Garry Palmer, of the RSPCA, said: "To abandon these dogs like this is just cruel and should not happen."
Anyone who can give one of the animals a home should call (07867) 630783. To contact the RSPCA call (08705) 555999.
