POLICE are appealing for information after an antique cupboard, worth £4,000, was stolen from a removals van.
The Georgian mahogany bow-fronted cupboard was among several items of furniture being stored in the van when it was broken into in Middlesbrough on August 15.
The cupboard had belonged to a York woman who died, and it was en route to her relatives in Holland.
A police spokesman said: "The family are quite distressed at this item of furniture being taken. It is of great sentimental value and they would appreciate anyone with information contacting the police as soon as possible on (01642) 326326.
