A TRIO of young dancers have been stepping out at a summer school to celebrate their recent examination success.
The girls are members of the Tiffany School of Dance, in Darlington, which has been holding a summer school over the past week.
Catherine Smith, 14 and Amy Sheppard, 12, passed their pre-elementary exams earlier this year, their first major ballet examinations.
Amy was highly commended for her performance.
More than 100 children from the school took Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams this year. Another successful student was Abigail Murry, 11, who achieved honours in grade four and five exams.
Fifty-five pupils took exams in modern and tap, and all performed well.
A spokeswoman for the school said: "We are now looking forward to our next busy year. Our team has already been chosen for the pantomime, Aladdin, and we have booked the Civic Theatre for our own show next year.
"This will involve all our 210 children aged from three to 22 years, and will include our boys' modern and tap class for the first time."
