LUCKY Lottie the dog had a miracle escape after plunging 50ft down a cliff face when she jumped over a wall.
The two-and-a-half-year-old black mongrel escaped with just a few cuts after falling from the top of a cliff in Whitby, North Yorkshire.
Owner Jane Dockerty, 45, had been walking Lottie and her other dog, George, when the accident happened.
The two dogs were let off their leads to allow them to run down the path and on to the beach.
Instead, the pair headed for the cliff wall and Lottie leaped straight over the cliff and plunged to the rocks below.
Mrs Dockerty said: "Lottie just jumped on to the wall, saw the sea and leaped over like a lemming.
"I grabbed the other dog and looked over the edge. There was a massive drop and I couldn't see Lottie anywhere.
"I thought I was going to find Lottie dead, but then I suddenly spotted her walking across the beach as if nothing had happened."
Apart from a couple of cuts on her eye and a broken claw, Lottie was unharmed after the fall.
