THE Wild West was brought to life in Darlington at the weekend when a group of cowboys rode into town.
The members of the Lone Star re-enactment group held an open day and workshop at Croft, near Darlington, on Saturday to raise money for Darlington Memorial Hospital.
The group spend their spare time dressing up as 19th Century Wild West characters.
They have a prairie wagon and a full-size saloon as well as authentic costumes.
They spent the day in Croft teaching visitors a bit more about the era, as well as raising money for the intensive care unit at the hospital.
The group decided to raise money for the hospital in memory of Darlington murder victim Justina Harrison, whose cousin is a member of Lone Star.
As well as the workshops, the group held a tombola and raffle to raise money.
