SUPERSLEUTH youngsters in Hartlepool took part in a fun day on Saturday.
The town's community police officers, along with volunteers from Hartlepool Youth Crime Clubs Forum, organised the event for eight to 14-year-olds who belong to anti-crime clubs in the area.
The aim was not only for the children to enjoy themselves, but to raise money for a much-needed minibus.
PC Steve Plant, who is involved with the anti-crime clubs, said: "We're appealing to community-minded businesses or organisations in Hartlepool for help so we can take the children on field trips or to sports events.
"At the moment we are relying on taxis and volunteers, but it would be great to have our own transport."
The clubs have joined together to make a forum and need to raise at least £30,000 which would cover a minibus, insurance and maintenance costs.
