CHARITIES are making use of the latest technology, thanks to a helping hand from a local authority.
Hambleton District Council has passed its old computer equipment on to 14 community groups, and has another 12 on a waiting list.
The organisations - which include playgroups, the Lifelong Learning scheme, church groups, the RSPCA and a Neighbourhood Watch scheme - will use the computers to improve the services they provide.
Councillor John Morley said: "We are delighted to have been able to help so many groups already."
