CLASSIC vehicle fans will be able to see how cars of the past are being restored to their former glory.
The North-East Vehicle Restoration Club, which was formed 30 years ago, is holding a show at its premises on the Pattinson Industrial Estate, Washington, Wearside, on Sunday.
People will be able to see the 26 vehicles that are being restored in the club's workshops.
Member David Shepherd is restoring a 1939 Morris 10, which he bought six years ago and hopes to have on the road next summer.
He said: "Since finishing the welding phase, I have overhauled the engine and braking system.
"It has proved to be ideal, working at the club premises, as there are many skilled members who can help out with those tricky jobs, and the inevitable snags."
The show runs from 10am to 4pm. Admission is £1.50 for adults, or 50p for pensioners and children under 14.
The club has a social side and holds club nights at its headquarters on the third Thursday of each month.
New members are welcome. Further details are available from membership secretary Frances Hodgson, on 0191-520 3581.
