STEPHANIE Robinson, from Redcar, will be making her debut at the Horse of the Year Show at Wembley after qualifying at Birchinley Manor, Rochdale.

The 15-year-old was riding the seven-year-old Little Irish Lad, which was fourth in the 60-starter Blue Chip Newcomers second round. The horse only started affiliated jumping two years ago.

Stephanie is trained by Peter Allen from Stainsby Grange and competed in this year's Winter JC championship at the Royal International, Hickstead. She also had a fourth in the junior open at the same venue.

Stephanie has also qualified for three finals at the Festival of Showjumping, Grantham and two Scope finals, while also enjoying success in British Novice classes with her new pony Celtic Fusion.

l Sarah Blaskey scored a double with her five-year-old Ferndale Summer Breeze at the BSJA Area 12 Show on Newcastle racecourse, taking the British Novice and Discovery.

Angie Mills from Haswell took the Marshall Hall members cup riding Gibside Sarleen ahead of Joanne Tanfield from Stockton on Stainsby Sponeck.

Emma Armstrong continued her winning run with Lord Bertram, taking the newcomers ahead of Katherine Leak on King Leonarcius.

Peter Allen and Stainsby Don Edwardo took the select open ahead of Sarah Russell on Toodjay, while Peter's seven-year-old daughter Pippa took the junior British novice with Titchy Tip and was joint winner in the ten years and under on Hazelnut Twirl with Melissa Martin and Bowes Run The Risk.

Rae Louise Farmer and Golden Fortune took the intermediate open ahead of Emma Denton on Stainsby Hotspot, with positions reversed in the members cup.

l The BSJA Area 15 annual show, which should have been held at Northallerton but was switched to Birchinley Mamor due to the foot-and- mouth crisis, produced some good results from local riders.

Paul Barker from Northallerton took the Image Data star of the future on Blue Chip Quinton and was third with Nethertown Kiss in the Scope B&C qualifier.

He also had a ticket in the Kiloran six/seven-year-old championship, along with Joanne Tanfield on Stainsby Sponeck.

Jackson Reed-Stephenson from Boroughbridge was runner-up in the Scope 1.35m open championship riding Baileys Pion, narrowly beaten by Yorkshire's top lady rider Angela Bell on Sevendales.

Sarah Russell on Sandra Shark and John Brannen on Crievestone clinched tickets in the Milton championship. Rachel Whitford and Firedance Rosie took the junior intermediate open, with the junior open going to Helen Swails on Bowes Cemtex.

James Reveley scored a double with Cappagh Misty and had two seconds with Spirit of Boadicea and Stainsby Starburst
