QUAD bikes and a ride-on tractor were among equipment stolen in a garage burglary.
Police believe the thieves made two trips to the house in Witton-le-Wear, escaping with £4,000 worth of goods.
It is thought a trailer taken from the garage was used to carry the large haul, which was stolen between 5pm on Monday and 12.15pm on Tuesday.
One of the quad bikes was a blue and grey Yamaha 125cc, the other a yellow and black Suzuki LT50.
The ride-on tractor was an MTD Yard-man with a grass box. A McCulloch strimmer, a chainsaw, a hedge trimmer and a garden vacuum were also taken.
