A Guisborough woman has received recognition for her help in a charity shop.
Ruth Cartwright has worked as a volunteer at the Help the Aged shop, in the Market Place at Guisborough, for five years and was presented with a certificate by Coun Vilma Collins, mayor of Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council.
Mrs Cartwright decided to become a volunteer after her children grew up and she was looking for a new interest. She now spends two days a week at the shop and is part of a team of 18 volunteers.
Alison Gibson, shop manager, said: "I would like to thank Ruth and the other volunteers for their hard work and continuous support.
