ANOTHER person has been arrested in connection with death of a 15-yar-old Middlesbrough girl who took an Ecstasy tablet, police said today.
The teenager, Lisa Teasdale, died yesterday after five days in Middlesbrough General Hospital's intensive care unit. She had collapsed after a night out on Friday.
Lisa, who lived with family in the Middlesbrough area, was understood to have taken the drug in a local nightclub on Friday night.
She was rushed to hospital in the early hours of Saturday but never recovered. A 15-year-old girl and a 30-year-old woman were arrested and later released on police bail.
A 24-year-old Middlesbrough man today was arrested and became the third person to help police with inquiries.
He was arrested for alleged involvement in supplying controlled drugs.
This he was being held at Middlesbrough police station for questioning.
Detective Inspector Keith Dee said: "People who take drugs put their lives at risk. It is not a game.
"They are playing with their lives and parents should be vigilant at all times to ensure their children are aware of the dangers and stay away from drugs."
