CHANGING lifestyles has prompted a Rushyford woman to set up a nanny agency.
The Need A Nanny service, which aims to provide quality child care services for families throughout County Durham and North Yorkshire, is believed to be the only one of its kind in the area.
Traditionally, nannies were employed mainly by upper-class families.
But with more mothers opting to return to work early, the demand for the service is spreading.
Glenda Beedle, who runs the agency, said: "You can have a live-in nanny, a part-time nanny, or even share a nanny with another family. We can also provide a baby-sitting service and cover in holiday times.
"We make sure that all the people we use are registered and checked by the police. All are fully qualified and extremely experienced, with references."
The agency has more than 80 nannies on its books and is still recruiting.
Anyone who wishes to make use of the service or register for employment can telephone (01388) 721099.
