TIME is out of step for a town centre's clocks.
There are two clocks in Redcar - the traditional town clock at the bus stop end of the High Street, and Redcar Rotary Club's Millennium Clock at the end of the pedestrianised section of the main road. They have eight faces, but none tells the right time.
A spokesman for Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council said the problem was caused by vandals climbing the Rotary Club clock and a lack of money to sort out the council-owned clock.
He said they were in discussion with the Rotary Club to organise delivery of sealed glass face units to stop the vandals and efforts were being made to find money to repair the other clock
