THERE are to be no charges over the death of a 12-year-old boy who fell under the wheels of a bus.
Kevin Bulman, of Langley Street, Sunderland, was killed in March when he got off a school bus at the city's Philadelphia Lane junction.
There had been reports that his hand had been jammed in the door and the driver's view was blocked by other children standing in the doorway.
But the Crown Prosecution Service has decided no one was to blame and will not be bringing any charges against the Kingsley bus company.
Kevin's mother, Janice, said she refused to accept the decision and was taking legal advice about the possibility of civil action against the Chester-le-Street company.
She is also calling for a second adult to travel on school buses to supervise pupils.
Northumbria Police have handed reports about the accident to the coroner's office and an inquest will be held.
