INTREPID members and volunteers at a Newton Aycliffe charity are about to prove that disability is no barrier to physical challenges.
The three groups run by the Options Disability Initiative, which has its headquarters in the Pioneering Care Centre, Cobblers Hall, are to take part in a sponsored triathlon.
The events will start next Saturday, with a 5.5 mile ramble along the Great Aycliffe Walk.
That will be followed by a cycle ride over the same course on Wednesday, September 12.
The last part of the event takes place on Friday, September 14, when participants will be attempting to stay afloat in a sponsored swim at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre.
Charity members and volunteers will be taking part in some or all of these activities to raise funds.
Anyone who would like to sponsor the sporting effort can contact Graham Barker or Ann Tittley on (01325) 321234 for details
