WALKERS taking part in an 800-mile charity trek will stop off in Durham City next month.
Former England and British Lions rugby star Jeremy Guscott is walking from Bath to Twickenham as part of the Tetley's Trek in aid of the Leukaemia Research Fund.
On Friday, October 26, the walkers will start at Newcastle at 9am and arrive in Durham City centre at 1.15pm where they will be met by Durham City Mayor Councillor George Cowper, before heading towards Ferryhill along the A167, collecting along the route.
