AN exhibition of abstract art goes on show in Crook today.
Allison Harris is exhibiting her most recent work at the Mall Gallery, in Crook Civic Centre.
Divisions is a collection of bold abstract paintings in oil and acrylics which discuss the idea of divisions in life, particularly the human cell.
In the exhibition, she combines her knowledge of art with her career in nursing to produce large, dynamic and vibrant images.
Entrance to the gallery is free and wheelchair-accessible. It is open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays.
The exhibition is running until September 28. There will be an open evening on Wednesday, between 7pm and 8pm, with an opportunity to meet the artist and discuss her work.
