A LOCAL historian is giving a guided walk and talk around Hartlepool's historic Headland tonight.
The free event sets off from the beacon on the Town Moor at 6.30pm and will finish at about 8pm.
The walk will include the town wall, Sebastapol cannon, the Heugh Battery and the war memorial.
Guide Steve Robbins said: "The Headland is steeped in history and there are lots of interesting facts and anecdotes to talk about."
The event is one of a series of walks organised by Hartlepool Council.
