DURHAM'S hospice is appealing for volunteer to help with its work in caring for people with life-threatening conditions.
St Cuthbert's Hospice in Park House Road, Merryoaks, is on the look-out for kitchen helpers, volunteer drivers and people to work in its fund-raising shops.
Volunteer drivers with their own vehicles are needed to take patients to and from the hospice, particularly on Thursdays.
A spokeswoman for the hospice said: "Help is also needed in our charity shops, especially those in Claypath, Durham, and in the High Street at Langley Moor.
"You could also help in the kitchen at the hospice, which provides an excellent opportunity to gain a basic food and hygiene certificate."
Anyone interested in helping out at the hospice should call Beryl Stewart on 0191-386 1170.
