THE Citizen's Advice Bureau (CAB) in Darlington is joining a national campaign to highlight where people can get advice.
The theme of the third national advice week is "Help is at the heart of the community". The Darlington bureau is using the week to tell people more about becoming a volunteer. CAB volunteers take their expertise out into the community with regular sessions around the town.
Darlington CAB manager David Garton said: "Advice week is all about letting local people know what their CAB can do for them - right at the heart of our community.
"Darlington CAB helped more than 7,000 people last year with problems ranging from housing, debt and the legal system, to benefits, family matters and consumer affairs."
This week the CAB will have a publicity stand at Asda in Darlington. Visitors are also welcome at the bureau's offices at Bennet House, Horsemarket, Monday to Thursday, from 10am to 4pm, and Wednesday, from noon to 6pm
