DETECTIVES are investigating the thefts of three cars in neighbouring Darlington streets in the space of just over 12 hours.
Detective Constable Peter Eddy, of Darlington police, said it was unusual to have such a spate of thefts in the Cockerton area, in such a short space of time.
All three vehicles were taken between 9pm on Sunday and 9.30am yesterday.
A blue Vauxhall Cavalier, registration B336 LLT, was discovered missing by its owner in Amiens Close, at 7.30am.
In Minors Crescent, a blue Vauxhall Astra, registration G349 HKV, was stolen, and in Briar Close a silver Renault Clio, registration 191 RHM was taken.
Anyone who has any information about any of the thefts can contact police on (01325) 467681, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
