A WOMAN was taken to hospital today following an accident on a village road.
The collision between a Vauxhall Astra and a Nissan Almera happened outside the National Canine Defence League's rescue centre on Hillhouse Lane, Sadberge, at around 12.40pm.
The woman, who had been driving the Astra, had to be cut free from the vehicle by firefighters and was taken to Darlington Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Police in Darlington said she was not believed to be seriously injured.
