MORE people could be given access to a mobile library under new proposals.
Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council is considering adding Rosedale Crescent and St Martin's Close, Liverton Mines, in Loftus, to the list of library stops.
The idea will be debated by the council's executive this week.
Councillor Eric Jackson said: "I put in the original request for the stop in Liverton Mines, as St Martin's Grove is on the periphery of the estate, and simply using the existing mobile library stop means a long walk for local residents.
"Hopefully, this proposal will mean a stop on their doorstep."
Councillor Dave Walsh, the council leader, said the other proposed stop would benefit elderly residents of the Mars Estate.
