A DOG welfare charity is to hold a series of roadshows in Chester-le-Street this week.
The National Canine Defence League roadshows offer dog lovers advice on neutering, responsible dog ownership and micro-chipping.
The events are part of a NCDL Give a Dog a Life campaign, which aims to reduce the number of stray dogs.
Pet owners on means tested benefit or pensions can get a free microchip at the following venues: Pelton Fell Community Centre car park, tomorrow, Bournmoor Church Hall car park, on Thursday, Gibside Shops car park, on Friday, and Chester-le-Street Civic Centre car park, on Saturday. NCDL will only chip dogs under 12 months old
