PUPILS at a County Durham primary school will have an extra-long summer holiday because building work is not complete at their school.
Coxhoe Primary School was due to reopen for the new term tomorrow, but children are now not expected back until Monday.
Head teacher John Brannen said: "The major building work is finished, but there are still a few things that need to be done and it is going to take a few days to clean up the school.
"It was a very tight schedule and there was always a chance the work wouldn't be finished on time."
