A CRIMEFIGHTING charity is seeking help to trace two people in relation to shoplifting incidents.
The first offence being targeted by Crimestoppers happened at Asda, in St Andrews Road, Spennymoor, on Friday, April 27.
A man walked into the store at about 1pm and was seen to select two bottles of Bell's whisky and leave without attempting to pay for the items.
The thief was described as male, white, in his early 20s, about 5ft 8in, of slim build, with short, dark hair and a scar down the left side of his face.
He had a goatee beard and full moustache, and was wearing a light jacket with an open hood, light trousers and dark shoes or trainers.
The second theft occurred at the Co-op store, in Market Street, Ferryhill, at about 12.30pm.
The store's closed-circuit television system recorded a woman selecting items from the shelves and placing them into a basket. She then left the store without paying.
The woman was white, about 5ft 3in, of medium build, with short, blonde wavy dyed hair, with dark roots.
She was thought to be aged between 22 and 28, and was wearing a blue Kappa tracksuit top and dark jeans.
Anyone who has any information about either theft is asked to telephone Crimestoppers, free of charge and in confidence, with the possibility of receiving a cash reward, on 0800 555111.
