Detectives investigating the murder of teenager Leanne Tiernan have released details of the quilt cover used to wrap the youngster's body.
Detectives believe the floral-patterned cover was used by the killer as he carried the 16-year-old's body into isolated woods in North Yorkshire.
Leanne's remains were discovered by a man walking his dog in Lindley Wood on Monday, August 20.
Her body had been wrapped in plastic bags and concealed in a double-sized quilt cover. Her hands had been bound and a scarf and cable tie used to strangle her.
At a news conference in Leeds , West Yorkshire Police revealed the reversible cover was made of cotton and polyester and had plastic studs on the bottom.
Leanne, from Bramley, Leeds, was reported missing last November after she failed to return home after a Christmas shopping trip.
Leanne was last seen at 4.50pm on Sunday, November 26.
