A SHOW celebrating the work of Durham's gardeners took place at the weekend.
The annual City of Durham Show was organised by Durham City Council and was held in the city's Town Hall.
Vegetables, flowers, floral arrangements, preserves, country wine, textiles, crafts and children's produce were on display.
Andrew Jackson, of the city council, said: "This show has become a major event in the North-East horticultural calendar.
"There was something for everyone, and the standard of entries is always outstanding.
"The City of Durham Show is a real treat for active and armchair gardeners alike.''
All proceeds will go to Durham Mayor George Cowper's Helping Hands appeal.
