A GROUP of young people walked away with a range of prizes after proving winners in a talent show.
Up to 20 people took part in the contest at the Washington shopping centre, with three winning acts chosen by independent judges.
The winner was Lynsey Day, 16, of Seaham, who sang God Help the Outcasts, from the musical the Hunchback of Notre Dame.
In second place was David Hepple, 16, of Seaham, who performed the Robbie Williams hit Let Me Entertain You and third went to Becky Robson, eight, from Silksworth, who sang You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.
Their prizes included a music system, portable CD clock radio and CD Walkman
