TEN years of reflecting on First World War battlefields will go on show in County Durham at the weekend.
Landscape artist and peace campaigner Robert Perry has produced an exhibition, called Echoes of War 1914-18, which opens at the Durham Light Infantry Museum and Durham Art Gallery next Monday.
Mr Perry, who comes from the Midlands, carries out his work exclusively on location, with his subjects ranging from the industrial centres of Britain to 1914-18 battlefields.
Dennis Hardingham, of Durham Art Gallery, said: "Echoes of War has been produced over a ten-year period around the Somme, Verdun and the Tunnels of Vauquois, and includes paintings of the present day landscapes, views of battlefields and landmarks with archive photographs and information panels."
Robert Perry will be at Durham Art Gallery for a meet-the-artist event from midday until 1pm on Saturday, followed by a talk at 2pm.
Tickets are £3.50, or £2.25 for concessions and £1.50 for season ticket holders
