WEAR Valley District Council has given planning permission to the following projects:
An illuminated sign at Barclays Bank, Wolsingham; stone sculpture at The Green, Hunwick Lane, for Sunnybrow Residents' Association; two-storey extension and conservatory at 14 St Andrews Road, Bishop Auckland; fish and chip shop and two flats at 3 and 4 Tenters Street, Bishop Auckland; single-storey extensions at 9 West End, Wolsingham; demolition of 15 houses at Brook Terrace, Eldon Lane; portable office accommodation at Durham County Council's depot in Etherley Lane, Bishop Auckland; recycling, composting and skip hire facilities at Constantine Farm, North Bitchburn; a sports hall, games area and floodlighting at Oakley Cross Primary School, West Auckland; and extensions at Eastgate Quarry.
Planning committee members refused permission for a garage extension at 38 Castle View, Witton-le-Wear, and for kennels at Stony Bank, Willington.
