THREE men are to appear in court after an incident in which a man was run over on a grass embankment.
Paul Rumney, 42, of Shiney Row, near Houghton-le-Spring, Wearside, is fighting for his life following the incident, near Biddick Woods, Shiney Row.
Three men will appear before Houghton-le-Spring magistrates tomorrow. A 22-year-old faces charges of assault, dangerous driving and having no insurance. An 18-year-old is accused of aiding and abetting, dangerous driving and having no insurance. A third man, aged 42, is charged with obstructing police and having no insurance.
