A POET is teaming up with a Danish popstar and a samba band to help take the mystery out of poetry.
Singer-songwriter Louise Dal and Sunderland's SunSamba drum band will join Durham County Council poet in residence Kevin Cadwallender for a roadshow next month.
The event is part of the Sharp Stick initiative, organised by the county council to celebrate the reading and writing of poetry.
Mr Cadwallender said: "The roadshow will be loud, brash and provocative, as well as great fun and very different."
Venues will include Bishop Auckland Town Hall, Peterlee, Consett and Belmont libraries and the Flame Arts Project, Chester-le-Street.
