A 28-YEAR-old man appear-ed in court yesterday charged with a teenager's murder.
John William Norman, of Barnes Road, Murton, County Durham, was remanded in custody to Teesside Crown Court on September 17.
He was charged with the murder of Paul Smith, 18, of Thornlaw North, Thornley, and with a second charge of causing actual bodily harm to Stephen Smith.
The charges arose out of an incident on Saturday night outside the Catholic Club in Thornley Village.
