AN exhibition by artist Julian Meredit is to open in the region.
The exhibition, at the Customs House, South Shields, which runs until Sunday, October 7, features giant prints taken from planks sawn from an enormous elm tree.
The display, called Elm, is the artist's second exhibition at the venue.
Customs House marketing assistant Nichola Dees said: "We are delighted to welcome back Julian. He works on a large scale, and the exhibition includes prints and stencil works as well as the wooden blocks from which he prints."
