Pizza Perfekt moved into fourth place in the Third Division thanks to a 13-1 victory over Hogans.

An under-strength Hogans side, which was relegated from Division Two last season after finishing bottom of the pile, remain in the woodeb spoon position.

Royal British Legion took advantage of AFC Orange's postponement and stormed to the top of the League, ending Yates's Wine Lodge's good run. The game between the two sides started at a blistering pace, with Legion taking a 2-0 lead within 15 minutes through Trevor Cooke and Michael Meridith. However, Rob Lowery's reply was thoroughly deserved after a fine spell of play, and made the half-time score 2-1. The Lodge continued with their pressure at the start of the second half, but were denied an equaliser by an in-form Ian Shepherd between the sticks. The Legion moved up a gear, and Paul Barber give them a 3-1 lead, before David Taylor's finely taken goal killed off the Lodge's comeback and gave the Legion a 4-1 victory.

Canney Hill Athletic remain third, and they added another three points as they eased past AXA Insurance 3-1. Scorers for Canney Hill were Colin Brannan and Francis Hibbitts (2) while keeper Paul Davidson saved a penalty. AXA's Chris Elliott replied.

Faverdale picked up their second win of the season with a 3-1 victory over The Falchion.

Division Two saw slightly more action this week, and leaders Allstars maintained their 100 per cent record. However, they did concede their first goal of the league campaign, as they eased past the Greyhound 8-1. However, the Shuttle & Loom, having won 5-0 in their only previous League game this season, were on the end of a 5-0 thrashing from a Hurworth Albion side that were promoted alongside them last year.

Darren Wray set Albion on their way with a volley, and Marc Radmore doubled the advantage with a header. Wray grabbed his second to make the score 3-0 before Shuttle's Stuart Curry was sent-off. Wray went on to complete his hat-trick, and Radmore grabbed his second to seal a fine victory.

Sadberge adapted quickly to the blustery conditions, and deservedly recorded a 4-1 victory over Copper Beech DCS. With the wind in their favour, Sadberge took a 3-0 lead in the first half, with two goals from Mark Grant, and an unfortunate own goal for Dave Collinge. However, Adie Pape reduced the deficit in the second half with a speculative long-range effort, but the Beech's fight-back was short lived as Grant sealed his hat-trick, and the Sadberge victory, with a late spot-kick.

Very few teams go to First Division Coundon and take all three points, but that is exactly what The Speedwell did this week. Buoyed from their 16-3 victory the previous weekend, they grabbed a 1-0 midweek victory over the Green Dragon in the first division cup. However, on Sunday they went to Champions Coundon Forrester's and beat them 2-1 in a superb game of free-flowing and attacking football. In the only other first division game, The Northern Echo beat a Springfield side that had Darren Tate to thank for their only goal. However, in a game that saw both sides reduced to ten men, goals from man of the match Les Mooney and John Graham were enough to give the Echo a 2-1 victory.
