SOFTWARE supplier JBA is celebrating 20 successful years in business with plans to create 20 jobs.
The Durham business, established in 1981, has experienced significant growth in the past five years and is forecasting a 50 per cent increase in turnover within two years, which will boost employment at the company beyond 100.
Peter McLane, managing director, said: "The IT industry is highly competitive and our progressive attitude to change has ensured that over the last two decades we have continuously remained at the forefront of this industry.
"In order to remain competitive, it is essential that we are fully equipped to make inroads into emerging new application software marketplaces and have recently undergone a major re-engineering process.
"This will enable us to offer a fully integrated one-stop-shop for our current and potential clients."
JBA's success is built on its enterprise and resource planning software, System 21, which is used by the industry to streamline production, ordering and planning operations and improve competitiveness.
JBA has recently won significant contracts with leading UK companies, including Jackel International, One 2 One, M&S Toiletries and Pimpernel.
