A CLEAN-UP of the beach at Saltburn takes place tomorrow by organisations in the town which have adopted the stretch of sand.
Saltburn 500 Club and Surfers Against Sewage adopted the beach. They will be carrying out seasonal surveys and a clean-up as part the national Adopt A Beach scheme.
The information gathered will be used to identify the polluters responsible.
Local organisers Kay Brown and Miranda Kelly said: "This is a real chance for everyone who knows and uses Saltburn beach to get involved and help look after it.
"The surveys only take place four times a year and provide a fantastic opportunity to have fun and learn about the UK coast, while making a real difference of our beach backyard."
Anyone wishing to join the group or find out more abut the project should call Miranda or Kay on (01287) 624192
