Darlington Church and Friendly League - RA Youth were involved in a very good game against Wheatsheaf Wanderers winning 10-3.
The RA goals were scored by Darren Kokes (5),Chris Marksby (2), Ben Spence, Dean Lawson and Craig Adamson with Paul Hannah(2) and Ryan Jones replying for the Wheatsheaf. After the game RA manager Wilf Parkinson said: "It's good to win but I can only say that the Wheatsheaf lads were a pleasure to entertain as the game was played in the right spirit throughout."
Unfortunately Paul McLearn suffered a very serious leg injury in an accidental clash and the League's thoughts are with Paul and everyone connected with the League sends their best wishes to him and his family.
Another high octane performance came from SCA who defeated The Navy Club 5-1. Neil Armstrong (3), Richard Wilkinson and a scorcher from man of the match, Stuart Ord sealed the fate of The Navy Club lads.
They never gave up but had only a consolation from Lee Robinson to show for their afternoon's work.
The Otter & Fish dominated the first half of their game with Norsk Hydro but allowed them into the game in the second half but Hydro could not take advantage of The Otter's generosity and ended up being defeated 3-1. Otter's scorers were Wayne King, Jonathan Bell and Chris Bellwood with Ian Swainston replying for Hydro.
Central Borough and Aycliffe Saints met with the Saints winning 9-1. The Saints goals were scored by Jonathan Hall (4), new signing Jonathan Craig (2), Dave Cave, Sylvester Jones and Craig Hancock with Chris Barr replying for Central.
Another excellent game was the Shildon derby between Elm Road and The Three Tuns which ended 2-1 to The Tuns. A typical, hard-fought game with two evenly balanced teams producing some excellent football. Deepdale recorded another high scoring in their game against The Tap & Spile winning 8-1.
The Greyhound produced a superb result against DGSOB winning 5-3 with goals from Barry Thompson, Paul Prince, Andrew Laing, Mark Millman and Matthew Hildon. This victory was well deserved with The Greyhound playing some good attacking football, never allowing the Grammar School lads to settle.
Last season's champions The Royal were away to another strong team in The Mowden and came away with a 4-2 win. This was a tremendous advert for the League with both teams determined to get the upper hand early in the season.
The old man of the Stillie team was back in action and Simon Hares scored a hat-trick with the other being scored by Wayne Muldowney. Ritchie Dodsworth and a 40-yard stunner by Neil Campbell replied for The Mowden.
Hathaway Auckland and District League
With DSRM on Cup duty, Black and Decker had the chance to go to the top of the table, but they could only draw 1-1 with Cleveland Bridge.
Stephen Baker opened the scoring with Phil Sheridan equalising for Cleveland Bridge. Cockfield moved into third place after a 5-0 win over Quinns Inn. Peter May gave them a 1-0 half-time lead, with Andrew Lamb, Kevin Peairs, Anthony White and Stuart Hardaker adding further goals in the second half.
Brandon Station still remain unbeaten after a 2-1 win over Shildon Railway. Steven Graham gave Brandon a 1-0 half-time lead, with John Bell increasing the lead in the second half. Andy Turner pulled a goal back for the Railwaymen near the end.
In the only game in the League Challenge Cup, DSRM beat Roddymoor 4-0, with goals from Stephen Bailes and Anthony Gavriel 2.

Crook and District League
Stanhope Town have taken over top spot from Wearhead United though they had to come from behind to beat Crook White Swan 3-2. T Wright, William Noble and Darren Fletcher scored for Stanhope and White Swan replied through Chris Pounder and Paul Gibson.
Wearhead 's good run ended with a heavy defeat at Howden Australian. Kevin Burke (3), Andrew Morgan (2) and David Wilkinson (2) scored for the Australian in a 7-3 win. Paul Cooper (2) and Ross Sanderson replied.
John Paul Collinson top scored with five goals for Bishop Rugby Club who defeated Byers Green St Peters 7-2 after leading 4-0 at half time. Other Rugby Club goals came from Alan Jones (2) whilst Edward Sharpe and Kevin Dodds netted for the losers.
Holders Crook Wanderers looked to have a tough tie away to West Auckland Earl of Warwick in the Norman Wright Trophy but they came through 6-0. John Kelly, Wayne Lonsdale and Stephen Roberts scored two each for the Wanderers. This was the first defeat of the season for a disappointing West side.
Tow Law Cattle Mart looked likely to upset Willington Cottles when they led 3-1 in the second half with goals from Ray Weir (2) and Lee Furber. Cottles then staged a very good fight back to go through 6-3. Wayne Fleming (2), Anthony Stewart (2), Stephen Bradwell and Andrew Howard scored.
