WORK by Middlesbrough artist Glynn Porteous, on display at a Redcar museum, has reunited him with a long-standing fan.
In the 1970s Mr Porteous's work was featured in military magazines and catalogues where schoolboy Phil Philo - now the curator of the council's museums - admired it.
To the delight of Mr Philo the work is now on display at the Kirkleatham Old Hall Museum.
"It is a privilege for the same lad to be helping to stage this exhibition and to be sharing the wonder of Glynn's talent with visitors to the Museum," said Mr Philo.
There are 65 pieces of artwork on view and for sale at the exhibition, which runs until October 14.
Mr Porteous said: "I went in for modelling competitions and won a few. Phil's very flattering but I hate all my stuff when it's finished! A lot of artists are like that. I'm really pleased with this exhibition, to be honest."
