Bass North Cleveland League - Normanby Parklands recorded their 14th win in 21 games defeating Dormans by seven wickets.

When the visitors made first use of the wicket they were restricted to 24 for nine which included 26 by Dale, while for Parklands Newton captured four wickets for 17 runs and Walker returned figures of two for 41.

Replying Normanby Parklands won losing three wickets as Ramzan carried his bat for 30 and Leadbitter ended 69 not out.

Loftus are second and they had eight wickets to spare when they hosted New Marske who were all out for 103 including 34 by Jerry Alderson, who had hit four boundaries before being run out. Jeff Morrison sent down 11.1 overs in the Loftus attack and took four wickets for 32 runs.

Replying Loftus were indebted to opener Martin Pearson who batted throughout the innings for an undefeated 29 which included four fours. He formed an unbroken partnership for the third wicket with Chris Barrett who hit seven boundaries in 46 not out.

Hinderwell are in third place and they posted 212 for the loss of one wicket at Skelton Castle who were all out for 145.

Spensley (72), Lythe (81) and Bowes who carried his bat for 32, were all in splendid form with the bat for Hinderwell.

When Skelton Castle went to the wicket openers Wilkinson (23) and G Stainthorpe (37) gave the side a good send-off and although R Stainthorpe added 45, the inning closed well short of the target man of the match Spensley claimed five wickets for 26 runs and Bowes had an analysis of three for 52.

Spence batted throughout the Middlesbrough Co-op innings making 82 not out in a total of 150 for five at home to Staithes. The visitors won losing just five wickets when opening batsman Allen dominated the innings scoring 64 while for Middlesbrough Co-op Tweedy took three of the five wickets to fall for 56 runs.

After scoring only 93 for nine Greatham Paragonians bowled out Brotton for only 90 when Hughes had figures of four for 30 and Skilbeck four for 17.

Skilbeck also performed well with the bat for Paragonians top scoring with 39, while for Brotton, Broughton captured four wickets for 18 runs.

Norton continue to lead division two and they had 83 runs to spare when they hosted Skelton Castle. Jenkins (29), Harker (40), Guillot (25) and Pritchard (33) produced the bulk of the runs in the Norton innings which yielded 180 for nine. McCabe was the most productive bowler for Skelton Castle with figures of three for 53 and Hill returned two for 32.

When they went to the wicket Skelton Castle never fully recovered from losing a couple of early batsmen and despite 21 by Heslop and 32 from Hirst followed by 20 from Gratton, the innings ended on 97 all out as Watson took four wickets for 20 runs and both Harker and Hirst claimed two wickets apiece.

Lorraines was in outstanding form for Boosbeck in their match with Ormesby Hall. He carried his bat for 100 and Richardson ended 55 not out when a total of 179 for one was posted on the scoreboard.

Responding Ormesby Hall were all out for 45 with Hutchinson taking three for 13 and Ward four for 13.

Gillens were another side to fare badly at the wicket and managed just 43 all out at home to Moorsholm for whom Bangay had the splendid figures for seven for 23 and Warne took three for 19.

Batting first Moorsholm finished with 127 all out which included a top scoring 26 by Allison and for Gillens, Prosser returned the excellent analysis of five for 43.
