SCHOOLBOY James Tomkinson ended his summer holidays helping a jet land at a fighter base.
The 11-year-old is a pupil at Allertonshire School, in Northallerton, and is son of RAF Chief Technician Steve Tomkinson of the Visiting Aircraft Squadron at Leeming.
He joined Corporal Andy Bunce on the base's flight line to help see in a visiting Harrier jet
