TWO Darlington sisters have been making a splash in the swimming world.
Hannah and Sarah Fay, both pupils at Haughton Community School, are achieving great success in the sport.
Hannah won a gold medal and is the North-East Counties Amateur Swimming Association champion for 200m and 100m breaststroke in the 15-year-olds age group.
She finished second in the 200m individual medley, fourth in the 200m freestyle and fifth in the 100m freestyle.
Hannah also participated in the national age group championships in Sheffield this summer, taking part in the 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke.
Her sister Sarah also qualified for the championships and, despite an injury, was first reserve for the 100m breaststroke and second reserve for the 200m breaststroke in the 16-year-olds age group.
The sisters swim for the Sedgefield 75 team.
They are to take part in a schools gala in Hebburn at the weekend, and hope to qualify for places in the national teams
