NOT normally known for being full of hot air, Thomas the Tank Engine will be flying high above a primary school today.
A giant hot air balloon replica of the children's book and television character is due to arrive at Henknowle Primary School, Bishop Auckland, as part of a two-week tour of schools in the country.
The event has been organised by the makers of the television series featuring the character and is aimed at helping youngsters to learn about the theory of flight.
