A HAIRDRESSER is using technology to help her clients turn heads.
As well as taking scissors and combs, Joanne Devine arrives at people's homes with a laptop computer.
The 21-year-old, who has just launched her new business, Devine Cuts, uses the computer to let people see their new look on screen, before taking the plunge.
Ms Devine, of Eston, said: "I take a photograph of the client, download it on the computer, then technology does the rest once I have keyed in the changes. It's something that is very popular in America, so I thought it would go down well here."
When Ms Devine decided to set up the business, she turned to the Bramthorn branch, in Middlesbrough, of InBiz, the Teesside business support organisation.
She said: "I was put on the Government's New Deal programme, pointed in the right direction for funding, and received a loan from the Prince's Trust to buy the laptop."
