A MAN who admitted stealing money from pensioners was told yesterday to expect a jail sentence.
Scott Wilcock, 21, of Neasham Road, Seaham, County Durham, admitted three charges of theft and two of obtaining property by deception, at Teesside Crown Court yesterday.
Wilcock admitted stealing £130 from an 80-year-old man, £50 from an elderly woman's purse and £840 from another pensioner's house.
He also admitted obtaining money by telling people he represented a charity.
Judge Peter Armstrong asked for a pre-sentence report and remanded him in custody. He told him prison was the most likely sentence.
