TWO eagle-eyed readers have won prizes by correctly identifying a mystery photograph in The Northern Echo.
The newspaper joined forces with Darlington Borough Council to run a competition as part of the Heritage Day Tours.
Properties in Darlington were opened free of charge earlier this month to give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the town's history.
Special tours were organised and people were invited to find out more about key buildings, including the town hall and Civic Theatre.
To celebrate the tours, which were part of a national event run by the Civic Trust, The Northern Echo invited readers to identify an unusual photograph.
The strange view was taken at St Cuthbert's Church, Darlington, and many readers managed to correctly identify it.
The winner of the competition, picked at random, was L Brown, of Bright Street, Darlington. The runner-up was Mrs K Cruickshanks, of Barrett Road, Darlington
