AN inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of a 38-year-old production line worker.
Kevin Charles Stobbs, of Marwood Drive, Barnard Castle, died in Bishop Auckland Hospital on Sunday.
His brother, David William Stobbs, an operations superintendent, of Quaker Lane, Richmond, confirmed at the hearing in Bishop Auckland that he had identified Mr Stobbs' body at the hospital.
He told South Durham deputy coroner Ken Howe that his brother worked at Glaxo SmithKline, in Barnard Castle.
Consultant pathologist Clive Bloxom, from Bishop Auckland Hospital, said that he had not been able to determine the cause of Mr Stobbs' death at a post-mortem examination on Monday and was waiting for the results of further tests.
The inquest was adjourned until the results of the tests are known
